Odette Annable Cast As Reign In Supergirl Season 3

House M.D. vet Odette Annable has been cast as the villainous Reign for the upcoming third season of Supergirl. Reign is set to serve as the primary villain of the 2017-2018 season, and will be a series regular when the show returns in the Fall.

"Greg [Berlanti] and I have wanted to work with Odette for years," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said in a recent statement. "We are beyond excited to have her join our cast in the scary, powerful and heartbreaking role of Reign."

The character of Reign debuted in The New 52 Supergirl title as a genetically-engineered meta created by Kryptonian scientists lead by Zor-El. She eventually became the leader of a group of villains called the Worldkillers who would survive the destruction of Krypton. Upon arriving on earth, Reign vowed to conquer the planet by any means necessary, becoming an enemy of The Maiden Of Might in the process.

Reign was hinted at during the final scene of the Supergirl Season 2 finale. During a flashback sequence back on Krypton, a group of shrouded individuals load an unknown baby into a pod and send it off world, just as the doomed planet explodes.

Starring Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, David Harewood and Odette Annable, Supergirl returns for its third season this Fall.

Wonder Woman Officially Banned In Lebanon

Great Hera!

A Lebanese security official says authorities have banned the upcoming Wonder Woman movie following a campaign against lead actress Gal Gadot, who served in the Israeli army.

The ban is in accordance with a decades-old law that boycotts Israeli products and bars Lebanese citizens from travelling to Israel or having contact with Israelis in any way, shape or form.

The highly anticipated film was slated to premiere in Beirut later today, however it is currently unclear if that will still take place following word of the ban. A group called Campaign to Boycott Supporters of Israel had campaigned against showing the movie in Lebanon. The same group had also attempted to ban 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice in the country, in which Gal Gadot made her big screen debut as the classic Amazonian Princess.

Despite this controversy, Wonder Woman will open as scheduled during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan across theatres in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait on Thursday.

The Patty Jenkins film, which stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Robin Wright and Lucy Davis, hits theaters here in North America on Friday.

Heeellllooo Nurse! An Animaniacs Reboot Is In Development

It's time for Animaniac - to return to the small screen.

Amblin Television and Warner Bros. Animation are kicking around a brand new version of the hit 1990s cartoon Animaniacs. Original series creator Steven Spielberg, who developed the classic cartoon as follow-up to Tiny Toon Adventures, is expected to return to the new show.

Insiders close to the project say that it is in the extremely early stages of development.

Animaniacs ran for 99 episodes – from 1993 to 1995 on Fox Kids, before moving to Kids’ WB from 1995 to 1998. It would go on to win eight Daytime Emmy Awards during its run, as well as a Peabody Award. The show would also spawn the popular primetime spinoff Pinky And The Brain.

The cartoon featured various segments tied together by the Warner siblings - Yakko, Wakoo and Dot, who were locked away in the Warner Bros. watertower in the 1930's. They would escape in the 1990's and cause all sorts of fun-filled mayhem week after week.

Animaniacs featured a voice cast that included the likes of Rob Paulsen, Tress MacNeille, Jess Harnell, Sherri Stoner and Maurice LaMarche. Episodes featured plenty of pop culture references from everything from Tim Burton's Batman to Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park, and heavily scored with original songs and music.

The series ended in 1999 and has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity since arriving on Netflix last year. In fact, the show remains so fondly remembered that Paulsen and the cast recently announced plans to reunite via a series of stage shows known as Animaniacs Live!

Again, the new show is in the extremely early stages of development at this time, but you can guarantee the team here at Infinite Earths will cover any new details as they emerge.

Back To The Future Fan Ticketed For Doing 88 MPH

Something tells us that Marty and Doc never had this problem.

A Southern California man wanted to get his newly acquired DeLorean DMC-12 up to 88 MPH, but instead of being transported back to the future, all he got for his efforts was a speeding ticket.

Spencer White was successful in hitting his desired speed on Friday while blazing down Highway 14, which earned him a citation - and a good laugh alongside a member of the California Highway Patrol. Speaking with The Signal, a newspaper out of Santa Clarita, White said, "[The trooper] asked me how fast I thought I was going."

The officer, smiling, told him he was going exactly 88 mph.

"All of us started busting up laughing," White told the newspaper.

The officer who pulled White over even asked if his DeLorean came with a flux capacitor. It didn't.
