This year marks the 35th anniversary of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
In celebration of this milestone, Fathom Events and Paramount Pictures will be bringing the epic science fiction adventure back to theatres for a special two-day-only event.
The Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan 35th Anniversary screenings will be presented in a digitally remastered Director’s Cut and also include a brand new in-depth documentary featuring William Shatner - which will play prior to each screening of the movie.
The screenings will take place on Sunday, September 10th, and Wednesday, September 13th, at 2:00pm and 7:00pm local time each day. Tickets for the event can be purchased through the official Fathom Events website, or through participating theater box offices.
A complete list of theatrical locations can also be obtained through the Fathom Events website.
"Star Trek II holds a special place in the hearts of Star Trek fans," Tom Lucas, Fathom Events VP of Studio Relations, said. "Fathom is proud to work with Paramount Pictures to present it again on the big screen, with all of its excitement, action, drama and emotion."
Considered by many to be one of the greatest sequels to ever see release in Hollywood, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan was directed by Nicholas Meyer and would go on to become one of the highest grossing movies of 1982. A continuation of the classic Star Trek episode The Space Seed, the film sees longtime Starfleet nemesis Khan Noonien Singh seeking revenge against Captain James T. Kirk after being marooned on a seemingly lifeless planet.
